Roseline Eguabor is an award-winning Cultural Mediator, Socio-Cultural Facilitator, and Parenting Expert whose career spans over two decades of dedicated service to migrant communities in Italy and beyond. With dual Nigerian and Italian citizenship, she brings a unique cross-cultural perspective, fostering integration, advancing migrant rights, and supporting vulnerable populations—particularly women and children.
Currently serving as an Expert in Parenting at Save the Children Italia Onlus, Roseline provides specialized counseling and mediation for mothers who are survivors of trafficking. Beyond direct support, she contributes to project design, implementation, training, and reporting, emphasizing compassion, cultural sensitivity, and empowerment.
Roseline’s career has included impactful roles with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Provincial Hospital in Palermo, and Reve’s Social Cooperative Society, where she facilitated communication between migrants and institutions to ensure equitable access to healthcare, social services, and community support.
Her training includes certifications in cultural mediation, educator training, and socio-cultural animation, equipping her to navigate complex social environments and bridge cultural divides effectively.
Internationally recognized, Roseline has participated in high-level conferences, including the IOM Counter-Trafficking Conference in Switzerland and the EU Anti-Trafficking Day in France, advancing policy dialogue and awareness on migration and human trafficking. She has also co-authored research on HIV prevalence among migrant sex workers, underscoring her commitment to evidence-based advocacy.
Roseline’s remarkable contributions have earned her numerous awards and recognitions, including:
- TIP Hero’s Award (2019) by the U.S. Department of State for leadership in combating human trafficking.
- MoneyGram Award (2015) as one of the best foreign entrepreneurs in Italy.
- Recognition as a winner among the Stories of Freedom in the P.I.U.Su.Pr.Eme project (2023).
