Area Coordinator for Southern Italy and Sicily, IOM MEDEA Project
Rita Duca is the Area Coordinator for Southern Italy and Sicily for the IOM MEDEA project, which provides cultural mediation services to Immigration Offices of the Italian Police Headquarters and Border Police offices.
With a strong background in migration, anti-trafficking, and legal research, since 2014 she has worked on IOM’s complex projects focusing on the protection of vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking.
She holds a Ph.D. in European and Comparative Law and has contributed to national and international conferences, research, and publications.
Rita is recognized for her expertise in project management, cultural mediation, inter-agency collaboration, and the protection of victims of trafficking.
